Patna: The demand for caste census in Bihar is rising rapidly these days. In fact, the JDU as well as the opposition RJD are questioning the issue. Tejashwi Yadav has recently written to PM Modi on the issue. In fact, in his letter, Tejashwi has demanded that the Centre should reconsider its stand on the issue of caste census. He also accused PM Modi of insulting CM Nitish Kumar. Tejashwi Yadav says PM has insulted CM Nitish by not holding a meeting on caste census. In fact, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had written to PM Modi urging him to hold a meeting on caste census. However, PM has not taken any decision in this regard so far. In view of this, Tejashwi is accusing the PM of insulting the CM. The RJD leader has now said that "without caste census, the education, political, economic status of backward and most backward castes will not be known. Without it, policies relating to their rights will also not be able to be formulated. Without caste census, the budget allocation for the backward and the most backward will also not be properly done.'' Tejashwi Yadav released the letter he wrote at a press conference in Patna. In fact, in the letter, Tejashwi Yadav has written, "The written information given in Parliament about the non-conduct of caste census of neglected, deprived and ridiculed victims and most backward classes is very unfortunate.'' Moreover, he says that for ages, the backward and the most backward have not been able to move forward on the path of progress. The caste census is very important for their development blueprint. In the letter, Tejashwi Yadav also told PM that the caste census took place about 90 years ago. Since 1931, the census has not been conducted on the basis of caste, but now it is the need of the hour.
