Telangana National Integration Day to celebrate on Sept 17

HYDERABAD: The Telangana state government is making grand arrangements to celebrate the Telangana National Integration Day on September 17.  The celebration goes for three days from September 16 to 18 in Hyderabad and in all the districts.

The three-day celebrations, activities, rallies, and the chief minister's public meeting would be held at People's Plaza in Necklace Road and NTR Stadium.  A number of ministers, MLAs, and bureaucrats reviewed the plans on Thursday. Senior officials and the chief secretary met at BRKR Bhavan to discuss the arrangements.

Officials from the GHMC and ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav, V. Srinivas Goud, Satyavathi Rathod, TRS city MLAs Danam Nagender, Maganti Gopinath, Kaleru Venkatesh, Muta Gopal, and MLA Rasamayi Balakishan visited People's Plaza to give instructions to staff on the preparations to be made for the rally on September 17.

Addressing the media, Talasani said that the rally would start at People’s Plaza and proceed through  the Ambedkar Statue to the NTR Stadium, where Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) will then address a public meeting. The chief secretary instructed the officials to make complex arrangements during a subsequent review meeting in order to ensure the program's success. On September 17, as part of Telangana National Integration Day, the CM will raise the flag at the Public Gardens. 

According to the CS, the CM will also dedicate Banjara Bhavan and Adivasi Bhavan in Banjara Hills. He claimed that a sizable gathering would start from Necklace Road and feature artists performing roughly 30 different art forms, including Gussadi, Gond, and Lambadi dance forms.

On September 16, large demonstrations involving students, young people, and women would be conducted throughout the Assembly constituencies. On September 18, the CS announced that cultural events should be staged in all district headquarters.

The meeting was attended by the GAD secretary V. Sheshadri, the PR&RD secretary S. Sandeep Kumar Sultania, the textiles secretary Jyothi Buddha Prakash, the tribal welfare secretary Christina Z. Chongthu, the R&B secretary Srinivasa Raju, the finance secretary Ronald Rose, the protocol additional secretary Arvinder Singh, and the commissioner for PR&RD Hanmantha Rao.
