HYDERABAD: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) removed Vanaam Raghavendra Rao, the son of TRS MLA Venkateshwara Rao, from the party on Friday, following claims that he was involved in the suicides of a businessman, his wife, and their two daughters. On the orders of Chief Minister and TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao, party general secretary Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and TRS in-charge for Khammam N. Naresh Reddy, Raghavendra Rao, a party leader in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, has been suspended. The suspension will take effect immediately, according to the TRS. In the meantime, special police teams resumed their search for the MLA's son. Late Thursday, Kothagudem police refuted rumours of Raghavendra Rao's detention. Police Assistant Superintendent Eight police teams were searching for Raghavendra in Telangana and neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, according to Rhoit Raj. According to the ASP, the police are also investigating into previous cases against Raghavendra, and if they uncover evidence, they would file a rowdy sheet against him. Raghavendra's house in Paloncha received a notice from the police on Friday, requiring him to appear before ASP Manuguru in connection with the abetment of suicide case filed against him.
