Hyderabad: Telangana State Higher Education Board official said that the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TSEMSET) is likely to be held in the first or second week of June 2021. TSEMset dates are based on intermediate exams. Every year, the emset is conducted after four or five weeks after the completion of the inter-examinations. This time, we plan to conduct the test in the first or second week of June. As in the previous year, entrance examinations will be conducted in multiple sessions that extend from three to four days for engineering and two to three days for agriculture and medical flow. A total of 1,43,326 candidates have registered for the Telangana Meset 2020 Engineering Stream, out of which 1,19,183, 89,734 are eligible. 78,981 candidates enrolled in AAm Stream, 63,857 attended and 59,113 qualified. After all round counselling including spot admission in the academic year 2020-21, 22,412 convenor quota seats in various engineering courses are vacant. In 184 colleges, 70,141 engineering seats were available in the conveying quota, out of which 47,729 seats were filled. In all, 43,196 admissions were made through web-based consultancy and 4,533 through spot admissions. Compared to 2019, the number of seats vacant in engineering courses in 2020 has increased. In 2020, 70,141 convenor seats and 22,412 seats were vacant. "The increase in vacant seats is responsible for new courses and many engineering colleges can be held responsible for the approved seats".
