Sania Mirza set for return to tennis at Hobart International in January

Indian tennis player Sania Mirza said on Thursday that she will return to competitive tennis after maternity leave through the Hobart International tournament to be held in January 2020. The 33-year-old Sania last participated in the China Open in October 2017. She will now team up with 38-ranked Ukraine's Nadia Kithenok at the Hobart International in the world rankings. Sania, who married Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, gave birth to son Izhan in October last year. Sania said in the conference that I will play in Hobart, followed by the Australian Open. I will also play in a tournament (ITF Women's tournament) in Mumbai next month.

Although she said that playing in this competition will depend on her wrist injury, but will definitely play in Hobart and Australian Open. Sania, who has won six Grand Slam titles, said she is fully fit. He said that when you become a mother there are many changes. Your routine and way of sleeping also change. I feel myself fit now, my body is now where it used to be before the birth of my child. I started thinking about withdrawal six-seven months ago.

Sania will pair mixed doubles with Rajiv Ram of America at the Australian Open. After inaugurating the new tennis court here, Sania said that she will try to get tickets for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Sania said that I have participated in the Olympics thrice and last time due to bad luck we could not win the medal. I will try and be able to participate in the Olympics for the fourth time, it will be an honor for me. I will get a chance to play in three Grand Slams before the Olympics. It is a matter of week to week and day to day.
