Terrorists attack grenade in Srinagar, 1 soldier seriously injured

Jammu: Terrorists have launched a grenade attack on a police post in the Noorbagh area of the old city in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir. A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldier has been injured in this attack. The injured soldiers have been rushed to the hospital. Security forces have started a search operation against the terrorists.

According to sources, in Pulwama district, the terrorist killed in an encounter with security forces on Wednesday, 22 January 2020, has been identified. This Pakistani militant linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed was active in terrorism affected South Kashmir under the name of Abu Saifullah and Abu Qasim. He was active in the Tral and Khriv area of Avantipora for more than one and a half years. He was a close assistant of Jaish chief Qari Yasir, who was killed in Kupwara district in July 2013.
