Anti-viral potential is being explored in the fight against the virus in Ayurvedic formulations.

Hyderabad : CSIR-Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology Ayurvedic formulations of coronavirus varieties developed in a laboratory in Telangana as per the agreement entered into with Arya Vaidya Shala (AVS) of Kerala . Will be tested. Through this, the anti-viral potential of Ayurvedic formulations in the fight against the virus is explored.

The AVS in Cuttack offers the standard principles of Ayurveda and will be tested on a laboratory-developed corona virus in a cell culture system, the Premier Research Institute said here on Friday. CCMB Director Rakesh Mishra said the project would be a major breakthrough in the country's pharmaceutical industry if clear results are achieved. He said the country had a very ancient knowledge, but no regulatory protocol defined to test the effectiveness of principles based on ancient texts.

He said that in the fight against corona virus, different treatments need to be tested first and then people should use them. Mishra said the CCMB had set up a testing facility to determine the effectiveness of drugs and devices using the corona virus developed in the laboratory. It can also be used to test the antiviral effect of Ayurvedic formulas.
