In Suryapet city of Telangana, 22 people of the same family have been found to be Covid-19 positive. According to health officials, the family members have been infected after attending the funeral of a relative a few days ago. According to the District Medical and Health Officer Harsh Vardhan, there were no signs found in any of them. While continuing his talk, he said, "Everyone has been quarantined at home, we are monitoring their situation." The official also clarified that none of the family members had a history of air travel and recently refused to be infected with a new strain of infection found in the UK.
According to the information, one of the family members of the TB patient found himself infected with Covid-19 during a routine examination. Since he attended the funeral of a relative, the people who were present are also working keeping their point in mind. The Ministry of Health conducted a corona test conducted on a group of 38 people and 22 of them were found infected. This is the first incident after about 4 months, in which such a large number of people from a family have been found infected.
Officials said that a 70-year-old man found corona infected because he did not follow measures such as face masks and social distancing during a funeral. Authorities have also collected samples of neighbours with caution. He also did cleanliness work in the township. Officials said that no community spread case was seen.
