Criminals surrounded and thrashed the Rajasthan police who went to catch the history-sheeter, snatched their weapons

Jaipur: The police team that reached Udaipur in Rajasthan to catch a criminal had to run away after saving their lives. Here, the Udaipur police who went to raid had to run backwards when the criminals attacked the police. 7 police team personnel have been injured in the attack by the criminals, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. At present, police teams have been formed to arrest the criminals. However, the information about the arrest of anyone has not been revealed so far. 

 

According to the report, Udaipur Range IG Ajay Kumar told that information was received about the presence of Khajru, accused of robbery in Mandwa police station area. He was a history sheeter. IG Ajay Kumar has said that, "Around 7 pm we received information that a criminal, who is wanted in many cases, is hiding in Kukawas area. Acting on a tip-off, a police team cordoned off the area to nab the history-sheeter. IG Ajay Kumar told that on the information the police had reached to raid. As soon as the SHO and the police reached near the house of the history-sheeter during the raid, these criminals ambushed and attacked the team. The criminals attacked the police team with knives, sticks and stones. Not only this, the criminals also opened fire on the policemen." 

In that chaos, many criminals even snatched the weapons of the policemen. IG Ajay Kumar has informed that one SLR and 01 pistol have been detected to be snatched. Till now both these weapons are missing. He said that about 7 policemen were injured in this attack. The injured policemen are undergoing treatment. The police officer said that the main accused Khajru is wanted in several criminal cases, including a month-old incident in Mandwa. He said that no accused has been arrested so far.
