Elderly Islam bit by dog while on a walk, villagers angry

New Delhi: There have been several cases of pet and stray dogs attacking people across the country, including Delhi-NCR. Now another case of dog attack has come to light from Noida. In which a sixty-year-old man was badly injured. The elderly man has received 20 stitches due to the dog bite. The elderly is being treated at a private hospital.

The dog attack took place in Noida's Sarfabad on Saturday. Islam, a 60-year-old resident of the village, said that like every day, he had gone for a walk on Saturday morning. When he was going his way, a stray dog suddenly attacked him. During the attack, the dog bit him badly in his hands and legs several times. When people around came, they beat the dog and drove him away. Islam, who was badly injured in the dog attack, was immediately taken to a private hospital. He had suffered such deep wounds from dog bites on his hands and legs that the doctor had to get 20 stitches.  

After this incident, there has been anger among the villagers. Villagers say the Noida Authority is not paying attention to catching stray dogs present in the villages. Stray dogs attack anyone anytime. The Noida Authority should pay attention to stray dogs roaming in rural areas in addition to sectors.
