NEW DELHI: The government will move 'The Family Courts-Amendment-Bill, 2022' in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, August 4, for consideration and passing. Kiren Rijiju, the Union Law Minister, will move the Bill to amend the 'Family Courts Act, 1984', as passed by the Lok Sabha. Union minister Narayan Rane to move the motion to elect, in the manner as directed by the Chairman, a member from the House to be a member of the National Khadi and Village Industries Board. Rijiju will make the motion to elect three House members to the Joint Committee on Offices of Profit to fill the positions left vacant by the resignations of Mahesh Poddar, Dr. Sasmit Patra, and V. Vijayasai Reddy from the Rajya Sabha. The eighth report from the department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways, titled "Passenger Reservation System of Indian Railways," will be presented by Narhari Amin and Manoj Kumar Jha. It details the actions the government has taken in response to the committee's observations and recommendations.
