Hyderabad : The Telangana Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday said that the genome sequencing report of three individuals regarding the new corona species is positive. That is, in relation to the genetic sequence made by Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) so far, three individuals have discovered new strains of the corona virus.

Features of the new corona were found in a British citizen living in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district. On Friday, a British citizen tested positive for the new coronavirus (B1.1.7). With this, the number of cases with a new UK ethnicity among British citizens in Telangana has doubled. Earlier, on December 29, two people came out positive about the new corona race. One of them is from Telangana and the other is from Andhra Pradesh.

A UK citizen who arrived in Hyderabad a few days ago showed Covid-19 symptoms. He then went to a private hospital for treatment. When the corona report of a British citizen came out positive, local authorities were alerted. With this, the citizen decided to send samples to the Center for Genome Sequencing Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB).

District health officials and monitoring teams have already reported that the citizen has closed ties with a UK national. With this, the foreign national was arrested. He is in good health and is constantly being monitored. Also, supervising people who are in contact with him. Currently, everyone's condition is stable.

 

Covid-19 293 new cases in Telangana

With 293 new cases of Covid-19 in Hyderabad and Telangana, the total number of infected people in the state so far has crossed 2.87 lakh, with two more patients dying in the state in the last 24 hours causing the outbreak. The total number increased to 1,546. According to a bulletin released by the government on Saturday till 8 pm on January 1, a maximum of 72 new cases were reported in the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area, followed by Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts. According to the bulletin, a total of 2,87,108 cases of infection have been reported in the state so far, of which 2,79,991 patients have been cured. According to the bulletin, 5,571 patients are being treated in the state, with a total of 26,590 samples tested on Friday. A total of 69.51 lakh samples have been tested so far in the state. According to the bulletin, the Covid-19 death rate in the state is 0.53 percent, compared to the national average of 1.4 percent. In Telangana, the recovery rate from Covid-19 is 97.52 per cent, which is higher than the national average of 96.1 per cent.
