CM Yogi's magic in Gorakhpur, won by one lakh votes

Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has won the Gorakhpur Urban Assembly seat by over 1 lakh votes. The bail of Chandrashekhar Azad alias 'Ravan', who is contesting from 'Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram)' against Yogi in the same seat, has been forfeited. Gorakhpur has been the karmabhoomi of CM Yogi Adityanath and he is also the Mahant of the Gorakhnath temple located here. After the BJP's victory, he is sure to become the CM again in the state.

In Noida, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's son Pankaj Singh has broken all the records so far by winning by a huge margin of 1.79 lakh votes. Earlier, the record was held by Maharashtra Deputy CM and NCP leader Ajit Pawar, who won by 1.65 lakh votes. He received more than 2 million votes. In the 2017 assembly elections also, it was Pankaj Singh who won here. In that election also, Pankaj Singh had set a record by getting 1,62,417 (64.29%) votes.

Union Minister Smriti Irani has taken a dig at the plight of the Congress. For Congress national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, he said, "It will be a matter of interest for political experts that Priyanka ji had come to life in the Congress in UP and left the entire party.''
