Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti has left for Joshimath in Uttarakhand. On Monday morning, Uma Bharti left Haridwar for Joshimath. She tweeted that her ministry had objected to the power project that people are blaming for this threat in 2017. Uma Bharti has tweeted one after the other. She wrote, ''1. Stayed at Patanjali, Haridwar in the night and left for Joshimath in the morning. 2. Joshimath is the penance place of our supreme Guru Adi Shankar. He spent most of his time here. Restored Vedic religion and protected the unity and integrity of India. 3. The people of Joshimath and environmentalists are blaming the tunnel of the power project being built on Alaknanda/Dhauliganga below Joshimath for this situation. Our ministry had objected to this project in the affidavit given to the Supreme Court in 2017 itself.'' In another tweet, Bharti wrote, "In a meeting convened by the senior-most officer of the PMO on February 25, 2019, the officials of Uttarakhand were reprimanded for all the projects endangering the Ganga. Be it the power projects of the center or the state, at the time of Trivendra Singh Rawat's government of Uttarakhand, Uttarakhand officials used to travel to Delhi for permission for all these projects. Just two years ago, there was a huge disaster in Raini, the village of Gaura Devi, the frontiersperson of the Chipko movement, whose debris was filled in this tunnel.'' Uma further wrote that hundreds of laborers and many senior officers of NTPC died due to the disaster. If this tunnel is responsible for these conditions in Joshimath, then the government at that time and the officers who traveled to Delhi to expedite this project are the real culprits. Alaknanda, Mandakini, and Bhagirathi together form Ganga in Devprayag. Alaknanda is the Ganga. Our Prime Minister is worried about Ganga. Who should be punished for ignoring the instructions of our PM's office, not giving importance to our affidavit, and ignoring various environmentalists? Uma Bharti has written that this is a major question of Adi Shankar's saved Vedic religion (Hinduism) to Joshimath and the people of Uttarakhand or the people who advocated this project of that time. Our central and state governments are very concerned to cooperate with those who are going to be affected by the current threat of Joshimath. All of us human workers should come forward and Joshimath should be saved.
