Mourning once again in film industry, this veteran actor said goodbye to the world

The Malayalam film industry has suffered a deep shock today. Veteran Malayalam actor GK Pillai passed away at the age of 97. He was battling age-related ailments. GK Pillai has been a big and respected name in Malayalam movies. He entertained the audience with his acting in many movies and got Malayalam cinema recognized all over the world with his talent. GK played the role of a villain in most of the movies.

According to media reports, Pillai had served in the army for 13 years before joining the cinema. When he returned from the Indian Army and Navy after his tenure, he started his career in Movies and Television. Pillai is known for his villainous roles in Malayalam cinema. He has also played the role of villain in about 300 movies. Along with this, he also gave an excellent performance in the plays based on the traditional Ballad songs of the state.

Villain's roles brought him great recognition: Born in Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram, Pillai made his debut in Malayalam movies in 1954 by working in the movie 'Snehaseema.' This movie was directed by SS Rajan. He is best known for his villainous roles. GK Pillai was very active in Malayalam cinema in the 1980s. After which by the time of 1990, he has suddenly disappeared. Then he came back after 2000 to start his second innings of acting. Talking about his popular films, he became everyone's favourite by working in 'Ashwamedham,' 'Aromalunni,' and 'Annamalai.'
