This camera will keep an eye on every move of China, govt approved ITBP

Itanagar: China's antics in Arunachal's Tawang have proved that it is not going to back down. Although, the government and the army are well aware of China's veins, but now they have become even more alert. The army is being modernized to strengthen the security of LAC. Cameras are still installed in the borders with China, but they only have a zoom feature of 40-50 megapixels. But now Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has decided to buy cameras with 100 megapixel zoom-in feature. All these cameras will be used for surveillance in border areas.

Amid tensions along the India-China border, the Cabinet Committee on Security has approved the purchase of around 17 high-resolution cameras for surveillance by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police. According to media reports, the demand for high resolution cameras was part of ITBP's Modernization Plan-IV, which was sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Along with the army, ITBP is deployed in the security of the India-China border.

Explain that India shares a border of 3,488 kilometers with China. These cameras will be used to monitor 180 Border Out Posts (BOPs) from the Karakoram Pass in Ladakh at an altitude of 9,000-18,750 feet in the Western, Central, and Eastern Himalayas. The Indian Army guards the Indian border with the Line of Control (LOC) with Pakistan, with the BSF, and the ITBP along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.
