Kolhapur: A war of words broke out in Maharashtra's Kolhapur over the installation of a WhatsApp status praising Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. This violence has stopped, but now the political struggle has started on it. After AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, now Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) leader Sanjay Raut's reaction has come out on this controversy. He said that those who put up posters should be stopped, like they are doing in Uttar Pradesh. In fact, violence had spread in Kolhapur over WhatsApp status. In this status, objectionable audio was also attached with the photo of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Then Hindu organizations held a huge demonstration and gathered at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk and created a ruckus. Later, the protesters also pelted stones and vandalised shops. In order to control the situation, the police used batons and tear gas shells to disperse the protesters. Police have registered three cases and arrested 36 persons in connection with the violence. On the other hand, the police have registered 2 cases in the case of status. In this case, the police have arrested 5 minors. Police are trying to find out who asked these students to do so.
