Damoh: Hindu girls were forced to wear hijab at 'Ganga Jamuna School' in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. During investigation, it was found that three teachers, including the principal of the school, had also converted to Islam. Also, the district collector was accused of colluding with the school. National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) chairperson Priyank Kanoongo said, "We have received reports of a large religious procession being taken out after Friday prayers in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, by the school operators who groomed children to convert to Islam, to put pressure on the state government to withdraw the FIR and not take action under the Anti-Conversion Act." He said it has been reported that Haji Idris may create a huge gathering of anti-social and anarchist elements in the guise of parents of children and may also use children. He said that the administration is being informed. Haji Idris is the director of the said school.
The administration was in such a dormant state that the radical Islamic game was going on in the school for years, but the officers did not even try to take action. BJP leader Surendra Sharma has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding an NIA probe into the Ganga Jamuna High Secondary School in Damoh.
