Meerut: A case of death has been reported in Baghpat and Meerut district of UP. Two persons died after consuming poisonous xylem in Mirpur Jamkheda, Meerut. On the other hand, one person has died after consuming poisonous xylem in Chamarwal village of Chandinagar police station in Baghpat. Locals say that Shyam Lal son of Tilram had come home on Wednesday night. He died at 4 am on Thursday morning. While family members say that he died naturally. Police officers including the collector rushed to the spot on receipt of the incident. The police have started investigation of the case. The case of death of two persons has been reported in the village of Jani police station in Meerut, Mirpur Jamkheda. After the incident. The two men who died of poisonous xylem were friends of each other. Police officials are speculating the death by consumption of spurious liquor. The residents of Mirpur Jamkheda village were 38-year-old Jagpal son of Dhir Singh and 40-year-old Pawan son of Narpat Mitra. According to the family, both men used to work as daily wage workers. On Tuesday evening, Pawan and Jagpal are said to have purchased liquor from a man who was doing illegal liquor business in the village. After which both went to their homes and slept. The incident has created havoc in the village.
