Mumbai: Ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, National Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar has suffered a major political setback. Three MLAs of his party have joined the BJP in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the state today. Among the BJP MLAs joining are Shivendra Bhosle from Satara, Sandeep Naik from Aroli Navi Mumbai and Vaibhav Pichad from Ahmed Nagar. On the other hand, a Congress MLA has also left the party and joined the BJP. The name of the MLA who came to the BJP from the Congress is Kalidas Kolambkar. On Tuesday, all the MLAs submitted their resignations to the Speaker. After which, all the four MLAs, led by CM Fadnavis of the province, have been inducted into the BJP at a function held at Mumbai's CCI Club on Wednesday.
