Bhopal: It is scorching heat in Madhya Pradesh at this time. However, the Meteorological Department (IMD) says that soon the people of the state can get relief from the scorching heat. Light to moderate rain and thundershowers may occur over the state from May 23 to 25. Meteorologists say that during this time winds will also blow at high speed.

According to IMD, apart from Madhya Pradesh, rain with thunder and lightning is also expected in many parts of Maharashtra including Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana, Western UP, Vidarbha. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with thunder in half a dozen districts of the state during the next 24 hours. At present, the states of North and Central India are facing severe heat. In many parts of the country, the temperature is reaching beyond 42 degrees.

According to meteorologists, Nautpa is going to start from May 25. Due to this, heat wave conditions can arise in many areas of the country including Madhya Pradesh. Meteorologists have told that Chhindwara, Khandwa, Betul, Anuppur, Seoni, Burhanpur districts of Madhya Pradesh may receive thunder and lightning during the next 24 hours. On May 24, rain activities will remain strong in the state.
