Patna: Three people died in a painful road accident in Bihar's Sasaram district. Today Friday (February 17) morning, a pickup full of devotees going to the Guptadham Mahashivratri fair in Chenari police station area of the district fell into the dam of the Durgavati reservoir project while climbing the Gaighat hill. The car of the devotees fell down about 70 feet. According to the report, a total of 26 people were on board the pickup. The vehicle carrying all the passengers fell into a water-filled gorge about 70 feet below the hill of Kaimur. 3 people lost their lives in this accident. The bodies of these three people have been removed. Information has been received that 2 people are still missing, whose no clue is being found. 19 people injured in the accident are undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital. The condition of four of them is said to be critical. It was told about the reasons for the incident that the accident happened due to brake failure. The relief work has been started by the district administration in a hurry. The administration team is camping on the spot. Chenari police station chief has informed that the vehicle fell into the Durgavati river, due to which 3 people lost their lives, while a dozen people were injured. All three bodies have been removed. Their identity could not be established. All three bodies have been sent to Sadar Hospital, Sasaram for postmortem. The crashed vehicle has fallen into the river.
