Tragic Loss in Panchkula: Dr. Poonam Agarwal Allegedly Dies by Suicide from 11th-Floor Balcony

Chandigarh: Tragedy struck on Sunday in Haryana's Panchkula as a 35-year-old woman, identified as Dr. Poonam Agarwal, allegedly took her own life by jumping from the 11th-floor balcony. The woman's husband, Asal Agrawal, employed in the Customs Department in Mumbai, had recently come to stay with his wife and their child. Shockingly, he was present at home during the unfortunate incident.

Asal Agarwal recounted that his wife had mentioned going to use the bathroom but tragically ended up leaping from the 11th-floor balcony. Sector 20 SHO Varinder Sharma reported that the police received information about the woman's suicide from the 11th floor of Suncity Society. Upon arrival, the police swiftly transported her to a private hospital, where doctors, regrettably, declared her deceased.

In response to the incident, ACP Surendra Kumar and the forensic team were dispatched to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation. The woman leaves behind a one-and-a-half-year-old child, adding a poignant layer to this heartbreaking event. The police have initiated further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident, as the community grapples with the profound loss and unanswered questions surrounding Dr. Poonam Agarwal's untimely death.
