Bangalore: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah disclosed on Sunday that the Congress high command has summoned him to Delhi for discussions pertaining to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Addressing reporters, Siddaramaiah stated, "I have been summoned to Delhi. Mostly, they have called me to discuss the parliament elections." The announcement comes as the political landscape gears up for the significant electoral event.

Responding to a query about the appointments of chairs for various boards and corporations, the chief minister informed the press that the government is currently in the process of finalizing the list. Shedding light on the decision-making process, Siddaramaiah shared, "Earlier, we thought of appointing MLAs first, but now there is a demand to pick party workers as well. So, we are making a list." The revelation indicates a nuanced approach to the appointments, with considerations extending beyond elected representatives to encompass dedicated party workers. The chief minister's acknowledgment of evolving strategies suggests a dynamic decision-making process as the government works towards establishing a comprehensive and inclusive list for these significant appointments.

As the political climate intensifies in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, Siddaramaiah's visit to Delhi underscores the strategic importance attached to discussions with the Congress high command. The outcome of these deliberations is anticipated to shape the party's approach and preparations for the forthcoming parliamentary polls.
