Patna: In a significant crackdown, the Bihar Police arrested eight individuals in Nawada for their involvement in a fraudulent scheme that exploited men by promising them financial rewards for 'impregnating' women facing conception challenges in their relationships. The group, operating under the guise of 'All India Pregnant Job (Baby Birth Service),' utilized social media platforms to entice men with the prospect of earning money through this dubious arrangement.

According to law enforcement officials, the accused required interested individuals to pay a registration fee of Rs 799. Subsequently, they would demand additional sums ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000 as security money. The arrests followed a raid by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Bihar Police on premises linked to Munna Kumar, believed to be the mastermind of this extensive cybercrime network.

While eight members of the racket were successfully apprehended during the operation, several others managed to evade capture. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kalyan Anand confirmed the arrests and revealed that the apprehended individuals were part of a larger cyber syndicate operating nationwide.

Authorities seized nine smartphones and a printer during the arrests, marking a crucial development in the ongoing investigation. DSP Kalyan Anand stated that interrogations were underway, with expectations of further arrests as the police delve deeper into unraveling the complexities of this fraudulent scheme.
