Bengal: 19 killed in tragic road accident

Nadia: Big news has come from the Nadia district of West Bengal. Yes, there's actually a tragic incident here. So far, 19 people are said to have died in the accident. According to a report by a well-known website, the incident took place last Saturday night. 6 others were seriously injured in the accident. According to some media reports, the incident occurred when more than 20 people carrying bodies from Bagda in North 24 Parganas were on their way to Navdweep crematorium in Metador.

The Metador reportedly collided with a truck parked on the roadside in the Phulbari area. The incident took place in the Hanskhali police station area. According to information received in the case, a total of 18 people, including the driver of the vehicle, were killed in the tragic accident. The list consists of 11 men and the remaining 6 women, while a six-year-old girl was among the dead. There are also reports that Shrabani Muhuri, an old man from the Parmadan area of Bagda police station area of North 24 Parganas, was killed.

She had been ill for a long time and 40 people, including family and neighbours, were travelling in trucks to Navdweep for her funeral. Here at around 2 pm, the crematorium truck hit the back of a truck parked on State Road near the Phulbari playground in the altar. It was because of this that this accident took place. The police have admitted everyone to Krishnanagar Hospital and according to doctors, 1 patient is said to be in critical condition.
