New Delhi:- Twitter announced on Thursday that select content creators on its social media platform will be eligible to receive a portion of the company's advertising revenue. Twitter says content creators can earn a portion of the revenue from ads that appear in their replies, and to qualify, creators must have at least 5 million impressions on their posts in the last three months. A payment account that authenticates users and adds that they must have a Stripe entitlement. Twitter is trying to attract more content creators to its platform. Earlier this year, the company allowed users to offer paid subscriptions to content on its platform. Musk's move to split ad revenue with some content creators comes days after Mark Zuckerberg's meta platform launched a direct challenge to Twitter with its Threads app. Since then, Threads has achieved 100 million sign-ups within five days of its launch. Last week, Twitter temporarily capped the number of tweets users can view per day, a move that could spark some backlash and undermine the social network's efforts to attract advertisers. The limit, which was put in place to "combat extreme levels of data scraping and system manipulation," is the latest change for the Musk-owned company. The company has seen advertisers flee for fear of Mr. Musk's response to content moderation rules that have impacted its bottom line.
