During the festive season, all of the country's major automakers saw a large increase in automobile sales. Two new models are set to be released in the Indian market this week. Tata Motors will debut the Ziptron-powered Tigor EV on August 31, while the i20 N Line, a sportier version of the i20, will debut on September 2. 

Before its formal introduction, the new Tata Tigor EV has started to arriving at dealerships. Select retailers have already taking reservations for the electric car for a nominal price of Rs 21,000 each. Mechanically, the forthcoming Ziptron-powered Tata Tigor EV has a 26kWh lithium-ion battery pack with an IP67 rating and a peak torque of 74bhp and 170Nm. In addition, the upgraded Tigor EV supports CCS2 charging and can take electricity from a 15A outlet to charge from zero to 80 percent in approximately 8.5 hours. It also has rapid charging capabilities, with a charge time of little under 60 minutes from zero to 80%.

Hyundai recently unveiled the i20 N Line with WRC-inspired sporty highlights. This time around, the company will officially announce the prices for the i20 N Line. The upcoming model will be sold via Hyundai Signature dealerships and interested customers can book the vehicle against a token amount of Rs 25,000. Some of the distinctive exterior highlights come in the form of the chequered flag-inspired front grille, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with N logo, and red calliper on the disc brake. The front skid plate and the side sill garnish feature athletic red highlights (silver highlights for red exterior colour).
