UP cabinet to be expanded this evening, seven new faces to be inducted

Lucknow: The UP cabinet expansion is set to take place this evening. According to reports, seven new ministers are scheduled to be inducted into the cabinet at 6 pm this evening. In fact, Jitin Prasada, Paltu Ram, Sanjay Gaur, Sangeeta Bind, Dinesh Khatik, Dharamveer Prajapati and Chhatrapal Gangwar, who joined the BJP from the Congress, will be sworn in as ministers this evening. Not only that, there are reports of some Ministers being expelled. Let us also inform all of you that the BJP Core Committee meeting lasted till late evening on September 2 at the Chief Minister's residence.

During the meeting, four Legislative Council members, who will be formed from the governor's nomination quota, discussed in-depth the party's upcoming election programmes besides the much-awaited expansion of the Cabinet. Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma were also present at the meeting. The meeting discussed other programmes including conferences on various fronts of the party. It was during this period that the names of MLCs were almost finalised and the names of those who joined the cabinet were also decided from the state level and sent to the party high command. Out of that, one name had reportedly not been agreed upon so far but after that state in charge, Radha Mohan Singh had reached Lucknow and then the party's activities intensified.
