Lucknow: The Popular Front of India (PFI) and the active Bhima Army Organization in North India have recently emerged as the prime suspects in the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) violence in western UP and Delhi. While the PFI is affiliated with extremist Islamic organizations, the Bhima Army is an Ambedkarite organization. On the basis of call detail of some major mobile phone numbers, the UP State Intelligence Department has revealed that during the last two days in the north-eastern district of Delhi, various incidents of arson and firing were also related to the violent protests in Aligarh. Is related to The state intelligence report has revealed that activists of the Bhim Army, who were performing at Ambedkar Park in Aligarh, held a meeting with PFI officials after giving a memorandum to the city magistrate. During this time, a team of students from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) also met with Bhima Army and PFI leaders. The report said that a large delegation led by the Bhima Army reached a religious site in the center of the city, where they started removing posters and shouting slogans against the government. Angry mob started stonepeliting at the police force when the police protested. After this, violence erupted in the Upper Court and Jamalpur area of the city, where there were already huge CAA related protests.
