Lucknow: A tantric has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur district for raping a mother-daughter on the pretext of curing disease. Giving information about the case on Thursday, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Aparna Gautam said that a woman living in a village in Khutar police station area had contacted Tantrik Sagir Khan, a resident of Aurangabad, for the treatment of her ailing husband. Sagir had assured the woman's husband to correct her by saying that the ghost was possessed by ghosts. The woman alleges that on the night of February 9, Tantric Sagir arrived at the woman's house with her partner Idris and locked her husband and her children in a room. The two then raped the woman and her 12-year-old daughter. On the complaint of the woman, the police have registered a case under sections of rape. After registering a rape case against accused Tantrik Sagir and Idris, the police arrested Sagir on Wednesday night and sent him to jail today. Police is currently searching for another accused. Police say that soon the second accused of rape will also be put behind bars.
