Uttar Pradesh: Board Examination To Be Held After Panchayat Elections

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council has decided to organize board exams of 10th and 12th this year after the panchayat elections. The dates of the examination are to be decided soon for the students engaged in the preparation of the examination. In this regard, a meeting will be held on 14 January under the leadership of Deputy CM Dr. Dinesh Sharma in which the final decision will be taken on the dates of board examinations. It has been reported that examinations will be held after the panchayat elections.

Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma has said that the proposed programs for the panchayat elections are still awaited and the dates of board examinations will be determined on the basis of the election schedule. He said that schools in rural areas will be made polling booths for panchayat elections and teachers' duties will also be engaged in elections, in which case board examinations can be conducted only after panchayat elections.

Earlier, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has released the dates of the CBSE board exams. CBSE board 10th, 12th board exam is to be held from 04 May to 10 June. The results of the examinations will be released on 15 July. Practical exams are to start on 01 March.
