Tragic road accident in Amethi, 3 killed, 4 others injured, including a woman

Lucknow: A tragic accident took place in the Shukul Bazar area on the Purvanchal Expressway in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. Three people lost their lives while four others were injured. The police, who rushed to the spot after receiving information about the accident, admitted the injured to the hospital. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.  

The accident took place on the Purvanchal Expressway on Friday morning. According to the information, a family from Mau district was going to Lucknow in a Scorpio with a patient. A speeding Scorpio rammed into the DCM at km 63 near Ashishpur under the Shukulbazar police station area. Noorjahan, Rauf and Kamal, who were riding the Scorpio, lost their lives on the spot, while Samsuddin's son Haji Sahai, Rizwan's son Samsuddin, Afsar's son Riyaz and Afsana Khatun's wife Atiq ur Rahman were seriously injured in the accident.  

The police, who rushed to the spot after receiving information, sent the injured to Shukulbazar CHC for treatment where the injured were referred to Lucknow after first aid. The police took possession of the bodies of the deceased and sent them for post mortem. Police have initiated necessary action to remove the crashed vehicle from the road and restore traffic.
