Painful road accident in Sitapur, 8 killed, 22 injured

Sitapur: Eight people have been killed in a tragic road accident in Sitapur district of UP. The incident took place on the road to Lakhimpur Sitapur in Kotwali area of the district. The accident took place when a tractor trolley carrying Procession was hit by a milk tanker from behind. Six persons died on the spot while more than two dozen were seriously injured in the road accident.

The seriously injured were then referred to Trauma Centre, Lucknow. The death toll in the accident has reached 8 on Tuesday morning. All the cities that died in this road accident are residents of Dalwal village under Kotwali area. The tractor was on its way to Barat Machrehata from the trolley. After the horrific road mishap, the people on the highway were agitated and shouted, but the police on the spot persuaded the people to calm the people.

Superintendent of Police LR Kumar said on Monday night that six people have lost their lives in the incident while 22 others were seriously injured. While the entire squad of administration and police rushed to the district hospital after the incident, the crowd of the general public gathered at the district hospital. After seeing the unruly crowd, SP LR Kumar deployed the PSC has been deployed to the district hospital.
