Husband and in-laws threw daughter-in-law out of house a few days after marriage, reason is shocking

Lucknow: A few months after the marriage in the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh, the husband along with his family drove the bride away from the house. The victim has taken shelter in her maternal home and filed a named complaint against five, including her husband, in Kotwali. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.

According to the report, Hasanu, a resident of Majre Lilapara village of Dharmapur of Nanpara Kotwali, had married his daughter Salia with Imran, a resident of Maholi Sher Khan, as per Muslim rituals. After the marriage, the husband and his family members started pressurising the victim to bring a bike and cash from her maternal home in a dowry. Salia expressed his inability to complete the dowry demand by saying that his father's financial condition is weak. After this, the husband, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law beat the victim and threw her away from the house. In view of the seriousness of the case, Nanpara Kotwali has registered a case and started an investigation.

Giving information in this regard, Police Officer Shamsher Bahadur Singh has said that Salman, Mehboob, Mahrula, and Gulbwa, including husband Imran, a resident of Maholi Sher Khan, have been named and a case has been registered under harassment, assault, intimidation, abuse, dowry prohibition act and investigation has been started.
