These days the easy availability of adult content to people is increasing crimes day by day. In yet another horrifying and shocking incident, A 10-year-old kid who allegedly sexually assaulted a 7-year-old girl after seeing pornographic content on his phone in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the information, the youngster was held and had admitted to the crime.
Pankaj Mishra, a station house officer (SHO) in the area, told The boy has been charged with rape and the POSCO Act in an FIR that we have filed, the man stated. The boy was brought before the Juveline board for the district and was then placed in a juvenile home
According to the information provided by victim’s father, She is a student of third-grade and was home alone when the incident happened. She was crying and afraid when her parents returned home. When the family comes to know about the incident they filed a police complaint against the 10 year old for sexually assaulting their daughter. The victim was 7 year old.
The victim father also told that the young youngster admitted to police officers that he watched a porn film on a relative's phone before committing the act. No person under the age of 18 may serve more than three years in prison, according to the Juvenile Justice Act. This changed in 2015, however, when the Act was revised to enhance the sentence for minors between the ages of 16 and 18 who are found guilty of "heinous offences."
In this case the accused in 10 hence the child might get a minimum sentence of seven years in prison. Following the minor's release from custody in the infamous 2012 Delhi gang-rape case, which sparked nationwide protests and resulted in tougher rape penalties, the Act was modified. The Police is further investigating in the matter.
