Not CISF but UP Police will take over the security of all the airports in the state

Lucknow: The responsibility of the security of the airport of Uttar Pradesh is coming soon on the shoulders of Uttar Pradesh. According to the information received, preparations are being made to hand over security of 17 airports in the state to UP Police. The Home Department is in discussion with the civil aviation on the action plan. It is being told that this action plan is being prepared to avoid costly expenditure on CISF security arrangements.

High-profile police personnel will be deployed at the airport security. It is being told that a list of high profile policemen under the age of 40 is being made by the DGP headquarters. ADG Security has been given the responsibility to shortlist the policemen. Shortlisted policemen will be trained by SPG-NSG experts.

In the first phase, the security of the new airport will be handled by the Uttar Pradesh Police and in the second phase the responsibility of the old airport like Lucknow will be given. Uttar Pradesh Police personnel will also be deployed at Gorakhpur, Allahabad, Faizabad, Agra, Moradabad, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Varanasi airports. Discussions are currently going on in this regard, soon this task will be given to UP Police.
