Dehradun: Ahead of the panchayat elections in Uttarakhand, the Congress is once again facing a disintegration. In Uttarakhand, political activities have intensified again after opposition leaders claimed to be in touch with the BJP. BJP state unit president Ajay Bhatt has said that the ongoing membership drive in Jammu and Kashmir has gained momentum after the removal of Section 370 of the Constitution. The BJP has claimed that several Congress leaders may join the BJP, but the party will only go ahead with the permission of top leaders. The Uttarakhand BJP is once again in the process of putting a dent in the Congress party. In Uttarakhand, state party president Ajay Bhatt has directed all MLAs to give one week's time in their constituency, but more importantly, the Uttarakhand BJP claims that several Congress leaders are party members. Ajay Bhatt has said that after the scrapping of Section 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the number of people joining the party in Uttarakhand is increasing rapidly. Bhatt also said that several leaders of the Uttarakhand Congress are also in touch with the BJP but only after approval from the party's high command will these leaders be given party membership.
