Uttarakhand government sent this proposal to Center regarding India-China tension

Dehradun: In the past few days, tensions in India and China have increased immensely. Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand government has taken an important step in the middle of the dispute between India and China. A proposal has been sent to the Center to clear the Sair Sapata of tourists from India and abroad in Gartang Gali area, located on the Indo-China border in Uttarkashi city.

This will not only give a boost to the tourist in this tribal area, but also its development. Once through Gartang Gali, there was trade between Indo-Tibet till 1962. The movement of outsiders is not uninterrupted in many areas including Dronagiri, Timbersain Mahadev, Bhavishya Badri, Kuti of Pithoragarh city, Vyas village including Gartang Gali in Nelang Valley of Uttarkashi city.

So far, foreign tourists are not allowed to go here. Indian tourists also get a limited number of permits for only one day. There is no approval to stay here at night. Tourism minister Satpal Maharaj said that a proposal has been sent to the center to exclude Gartang Gali and other areas from the restricted area. Abolishing the provision of permits in this area will give a boost to tribal tourism in the state. Tourists from abroad will have the opportunity to roam and stay in frontier villages. Through the tribal tourists, the migration from these villages can also be stopped, and this will help in improving the situation.
