On August 11, Russia launched world's first coronavirus vaccine in front of the whole world. This is the first drug against this virus, which has got the green signal, but continuous doubt is being raised on its effectiveness. "In India, the third most affected country of the world, before the introduction of this vaccine, its impact will be judged in terms of security", says Dr Randeep Guleria, director of AIIMS, India's largest physician.

Russian President Vladimir Putin made a big announcement on Tuesday. He has announced the first drug of Corona to the world. Russia has named it 'Sputnik'. But, there was a discussion about the Russian vaccine since last few days and since then it was being doubted. On the issue of the Russian vaccine, AIIMS Director Dr Guleria said, "If the Russian vaccine is successful, then we have to see closely that it is safe and effective. There should be no side effects of this drug and it gives patients good immunity and strength.”

Work on two drugs is going on in the country as well. The first and second phase of the human trials of the vaccine being developed with the help of ICMR and Bharat Biotech is underway. The same is also being practised by Zydus Cadila. So far, more than 22.68 lakh cases of corona cases have been reported in the country, out of which more than 45 thousand people have died, while about 16 lakh people recovered.
