Veteran cricketer furious over ICC rules says 'Made joke of World Cup'

The result of the World Cup 2019 final between New Zealand and England broke the hearts of millions of fans. In the final match of the World Cup, the match reached to the super over and in that over both the teams made equal runs but Enland is announced as the winner due to more number of boundaries.  England won the World Cup but New Zealand's defeat is not digesting. The decision on the boundary has raised questions not only by cricket fans but also by legendary players.

That's when New Zealand veteran Scott Styris tweeted his tweeter handle after the final match and said, "Awesome ICC, you're just a joke. Clearly, he was not happy with the kind of results that came out. Former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming also wrote that it was cruel.

Millions of fans, including legendary cricketers, questioned the ICC's rule. People wrote on Twitter that when the decision is being taken on the basis of four-six after the 102 overs match, what is the rule? Is it a World Cup or is there any street cricket?

The way the super overs came after no result came in and there was no result. Then there was a decision on the basis of the boundary that defeated New Zealand, but people said that if such a situation had come, the ICC should have declared a joint winner.
