Veteran Telugu film producer Narayan Das Narang passes away

Hyderabad: Narayan Das Narang,  age 76,  a veteran film producer who bankrolled several Tollywood films died on Tuesday in Hyderabad. Taran Adarsh, an Indian film critic and trade analyst, verified the news on Twitter with a condolence message.

"Shri NarayanDasNarang ji, a greatly revered name in the Telugu film industry, passed away... NarayanDas ji was Chairman of AsianGroup and an eminent producer, exhibitor, and financier... Om Shanti, my heartfelt condolences to his family "It said in his tweet. On his Twitter account, South actor Mahesh Babu expressed his condolences for the renowned actor's death.

"The death of NarayanDasNarang garu has shocked and grieved me. His absence will be felt keenly in our film business, as he was a prolific character. It has been an honour to know and work with him "he penned Narayan Das Narang had reportedly bankrolled more than 600 movies, including Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's 'Love Story' and Naga Shaurya's 'Lakshya'.

As per sources, his funeral will take place on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Mahaprasthanam. Several South stars are anticipated to pay their respects to the late producer's family and express their sympathies.
