3 accused sent to remand in case of fire at Vijayawada Care Center

Vijayawada: A fire broke out in the hotel being used for Covid-19 facilities in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. There was a fire in Hotel Golden Palace here on Sunday. 10 people died in that fire. Now 3 people have been arrested in that case.

It is being told that the three accused were produced in the magistrate court on Tuesday, and from there they have been sent on 14 days remand. These included Dr K Raja Gopal Rao, GM of the hospital and Dr KK Sudarshan in charge of Swarna Palace Covid Care Center, P Venkatesh, Coordinating Manager of Covid Care Center. The police has sent the accused to Machilipatnam Special Sub-Jail. A search is on for Dr Ramesh, MD of the absconding hospital and a special team has been formed for him.

The Chief Minister's Office (CMO) of Andhra Pradesh said, 'Three officers of Ramesh Hospital in Vijayawada were arrested on Monday for being negligent about the needs of electric repair, which led to the death of 10 people'. The three officers are directly responsible for ensuring the safety of the patients being treated here. Talking with this, the local police told the Tehsildar that on the basis of the complaint, he filed a case against the management of Swarna Hotel and Ramesh Hospitals under Section 304 (II), 308 R / W 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has gone.
