New Delhi: According to a newspaper source, the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has issued a warning to wrestler Vinesh Phogat for failing to provide information on his whereabouts. Phogat was one of the protesters' faces during the wrestling protest in the Capital against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Vinesh, who will start wrestling competitively again on Thursday at the Budapest Ranking Series 2023. The event in Hungary will come to an end on July 16 after four days. Vinesh Phogat, an Indian female wrestler, withdrew from the Budapest Ranking Series 2023 that was held in Hungary. A day before the match, she withdrew his name, citing sickness and food poisoning. The National Doping Agency(NADA) had recently sent him a notice. But due to his current illnesses, he withdrew his name. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Budapest Ranking Series organizers have both been notified of this by Vinesh Phogat. Vinesh Phogat played on Saturday, July 15, 2023, but on Friday, July 14, 2023, a day earlier, he had withdrawn his name. This information has, however, recently come to lime-light. After Vinesh Phogat withdrew from the competition, Sangeeta Phogat was the only female wrestler still competing. Sangeeta took up the bronze in the 59 kg division. Vinesh Phogat last competed in the World Championship in September 2022, it should be noted. Since that time, she has left the mat. She took a break from wrestling for almost 11 months, then. In the intervening period, she has removed her name from the Budapest Ranking Series. Fans of Vinesh will have to wait a while longer to see her on the wrestling mat in this circumstance.
