Today i.e. on April 1, Virendra Singh, popularly known as the dumb wrestler, is celebrating his birthday. In many bouts, this dumb first one had managed to bring laurels to the country. Virendra Singh is the only Indian athlete who has also won a gold medal in the Deaf and Dumb (Olympics for deaf and dumb people). Along with the gold medals in the 2005 and 2013 Deflex, he has also won 5 medals in other international competitions. Reports say that he is the only deaf and mute wrestler who wrestles with ordinary wrestlers and used to win it. Virender, who has been wrestling since the age of 10, was trained with famous wrestler Sushil Kumar. His goal is to play in the 2016 Rio Olympics, but due to not being able to speak and hear, the federation is not being allowed. For this, he has written a letter to the Sports Ministry.
