The Indian telecom company Vodafone Idea (VI) lost 2.65 million subscribers in October. According to the latest report of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, VI's wireless user base dropped from 295.49 million in September to 292.83 million in October. TRAI's latest telecom subscription report says that Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio gained over 3.67 million new wireless subscribers in the month of October. While Bharti Airtel increased 1.45 million more subscribers than Reliance Jio which added 2.22 million wireless subscribers in October. State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) also losses 10,215 wireless subscribers in October to have a total wireless subscriber base of 118.88 million. Earlier in the month of September, Airtel and Jio gained subscribers while Vodafone Idea lost users. Airtel recorded 3.8 million new subscribers which is more than twice Jio's 1.46 million new subscribers. Airtel’s wireless user base increases by 1.17% MoM to 326.6 million in September. Where Reliance Jio receives growth of 0.36 % to 404.1 million. According to TRAI, Vodafone Idea (Vi) lost 4.7 million subscribers and ended September with a user base of 295.5 million.
