Our dharna is for those who are being eaten by capitalists: Gurnam Singh Chaduni

Jind: Farmers' agitation against three new agricultural laws of the Centre is underway. Now, Gurnam Singh Chaduni, the national president of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Chaduni) has made a statement on this. Recently, he said, "Our dharna is not for ourselves but for those whom capitalists are eating." Recently, the farmer leader made a statement saying, "We are sitting on dharnas not for ourselves but for the entire society. We are not sitting to fight among ourselves, but we are sitting on dharnas for those whom capitalists are eating," Chaduni said.

Addressing the farmers' dharna at the Khatkar toll, he said, "If we fight among ourselves, they will eat us. The Khatkar toll dharna is going on at number one across Haryana and a large number of women and youth are participating in the dharna here." All of you must be aware that protesting farmers under the banner of United Kisan Morcha against the Centre's three new agricultural laws have been camping on the borders of Delhi and Haryana since November 26 last year.

All are demanding repeal of these three laws and a new law to guarantee minimum support price (MSP) of the crop. In fact, several rounds of talks between the farmers and the government over the deadlock over these controversial laws were inconclusive. The farmers have already declared a cross-border fight with the government on the issue, and the farmers have appealed to the government to accede to their demands at the earliest. On the other hand, it has been clarified by the Government that the law will not be returned.
