Dumper trampled factory's female worker, anger among villagers

Kolkata: A woman worker lost her life after she came under a dumper at a factory in the Jamudia industrial area of ​​West Bengal's Asansol district. After this incident, the local villagers created a ruckus. They allege that such incidents are happening in the factory every day.

According to the information given by the police, this case is of Jamudia Industrial Area Super Smelter Factory. The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Rati Koda. After the accident, she was taken to a private hospital in Durgapur, however, she later succumbed to her injuries during treatment. It was told that the woman used to work in the canteen department of the factory. According to the police, she came under the dumper inside the factory at around 8 am on Thursday.

On getting information about this matter, the people of Mandalpur village of Akalpur area of ​​Jamudia reached here and started creating ruckus. A meeting of the factory management and the protesters were also held after the incident. A local resident told that such incidents are happening every day and the safety of the employees is being played with. They demanded to improve the safety of the workers working in the factory.
