Kolkata: A 10-day Ganesh festival is celebrated across the country. Somewhere someone is bringing Ganpati Bappa to his house, somewhere, he is seen in the pandals and is giving darshan to the devotees. From Maharashtra to Delhi and from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, different forms of Bappa are being seen. A variety of attractive pavilions have been decorated in Kharagpur in West Midnapore district of West Bengal for the 10-day Ganesh festival. On this occasion, Shine Star Club of Old Settlement area of Kharagpur city entered its 14th year and its major attraction is 201 kg laddu. Club members claim that laddoos of the largest magnitude have been made in West Bengal so far to offer to God on the occasion of Ganesh worship. At the same time, this has been the subject of discussion all over the state, people from other areas of the state are coming to see Bappa in this pandal and to see the huge laddu of 201 kg. Local people say that everyone has helped in making this laddu. He said that this laddu is made from indigenous ghee.
