A major fire broke out in ONGC plant in Navi Mumbai, seven laborers died

Mumbai: Seven people were reported to be killed in the cold storage of Uran ONGC gas processing plant in Navi Mumbai on Tuesday morning, while three are said to be seriously injured. The fire has not yet been controlled, firefighters are trying to get control of the fire. ONGC fire services and crisis management teams are immediately in action.

According to information received from ONGC, the incident has not affected the oil processing and the gas has been diverted towards the Hazira plant in Surat, Gujarat. At about 7 am, the flames started to rise in the processing plant. Three labors were seriously injured due to fire in the cold storage of Uran ONGC gas processing plant. Giving information, a police officer said that about 22 fire engines, including ONGC, Navi Mumbai civic body, and other agencies are deployed on the spot to extinguish the fire.

The fire is so intense that its flames and smoke are visible from far away. Relief teams rushed to the spot have seriously injured workers admitted to the nearest private hospital for treatment. According to the information received, some people are also trapped inside. It has been reported that the fire started around 7 am today.
